People value things more when they're in limited supply or under time constraints.

This scarcity tactic is used to show that there is a limited quantity of products or there is a time limit. This creates “FOMO”, a Fear of missing out, and gets people to take action, who otherwise would not take fast action. Most of the time, these are “fake scarcity” to get people to buy.
