Spacing Effect

People learn more effectively when study sessions are spaced out

The spacing effect refers to the finding that long-term memory is enhanced when learning events are spaced apart in time, rather than massed in immediate succession.

People are more likely to grasp concepts if there is “time off” between multiple learning sessions. This is why “cramming overnight” usually results in you getting even more confused before tests, so it’s better to space them in between.

In marketing, if you are selling high-ticket item ( $20-50K+), it’s better to space out the marketing emails, and webinars so that the user has the time to process the benefits. If you are teaching a class, you should request users not to read/watch content all at once but rather in small chunk so they can learn it for long term.
